User permissions are being overridden

Hello community!

I am facing a weird problem and I can’t find the solution I want.
So, there is a user which is in the icinga admins group and in a user group.

The icinga admins groups have all the permissions in icinga and the user group is restricted to see only a specific hostgroup. The problem is that I want this user to have all the permissions but they are being overridden by the restrictions of the other group.

Is there a workaround for this situation?

Yes. Two of them.

  • Wait for Icinga DB (Web) where this limitation is solved
  • Remove the user from the restricted group

The second option isn’t possible unfortunately, I will wait for the update where it will be solved tho!
