I’m trying to install icinga on RHEL 9 but I’m getting this message:
Status code: 401 for https://packages.icinga.com/subscription/rhel/8/release/repodata/repomd.xml (IP: 126.96.36.199)
Error: Failed to download metadata for repo ‘icinga-stable-release’: Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried
What is the solution for this issue?
Do you have a subscription? The Icinga GmbH requires a subscription to access the Icinga2 packages for RHEL and other enterprise Linux distributions.
Thank you for your reply
Actually I don’t have a subscription I thought it was free open source.
Can you help or provide me with a guide on how to install the source code instead?
The source is free and open but the packages aren’t.
I guess it’s karma as Red Hat pulled a similar stunt - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kF5pyVUQBH8
But it’s sad that build information is getting closed down, even for open and free code
Have a look at Freedom for Icinga but as stated in the forum, it maybe not a solution forever.
