Hi All,
Longtime user of icinga but really have come up against a problem here. We have 900+servers on our monitoring system of various OS’s. If we install Icinga2 on any OS, other than 2025, everything works. On a member server windows 2025 there are no problems. As soon as we promote a 2025 server to a DC icinga starts but no comms on 5665. We can only get the service to communicate if we drop the registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\SystemEnableLUA=1 to 0.
This is against Microsoft recommendations but is the only way I can seem to make the service work. We run the service as local system. We can run Icinga from the command line in an elvator command prompt but we dont log into the server everyday so leaving that running in a user session is also a problem.
Has anyone come across this before, it is just 2025 DC’s.
