Is it a normal behaviour, that icingaweb2 under a host or a service, that it will not show “yourself” in the notification group/user ?
Yes, as there’s no link between the user of the UI and the contact in Icinga 2.
The problem i’m facing it, using “root” account for example, I can see all the users under Notification, even my user.
If connected to icingaweb2 using my user, I’m seeing the same users under Notification except myself…
Oh, I thought you’ve asked why your name is shown instead of “This is you” or something similar.
root might not be restricted, your user on the other hand might be. Then you don’t see your user, because said contact isn’t notified about hosts and services the restriction(s) grants access to.
Check if one of the roles assigned to your user is restricted and whether the notification configuration is applied to hosts/services the restriction matches.
I just double checked a couple of things…
Something didn’t make sense for me. Using my account, I can see all users and group inside notification but not myself…
I checked the permissions and I’m also like “root” with the exception that I filtered out some “host”.
