I am trying to install icinga2 on a fresh install of Ubuntu 22.02.2 LTS and when I try to apt install icinga2 I get the following:
Is the version too new for icinga2?

Hi & welcome,
Blind guess, you have configured wrong sources.list for icinga packages.
I followed this. Are the different ones I should use?
https://icinga.com/docs/icinga-2/snapshot/doc/02-installation/02-Ubuntu/
No, that’s perfect. Could you please share your /etc/apt/sources.list
and /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*-icinga.list
?
Hi.
Assuming that your distribution is Ubuntu 22.04…,
the package repository is pointing to the wrong distibution (focal).
Following the instructions under the posted link,
the entry should look like this:
deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/icinga-archive-keyring.gpg] https://packages.icinga.com/ubuntu icinga-jammy main
deb-src [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/icinga-archive-keyring.gpg] https://packages.icinga.com/ubuntu icinga-jammy main
Maybe you should remove the icinga-focal.list entry and follow the steps again.
Greetings.
That did the trick. Thank you for the help!
