Missing options for SNMP-Memory

Hi all,
I am using Manubulon Plugins commands: https://icinga.com/docs/icinga2/latest/doc/10-icinga-template-library/#snmp-manubulon-plugin-check-commands

according to above page, the command snmp-memory should support both Linux and windows

I used the command and created a service with Director and it worked as expected with Linux but I am getting the following error for Windows machines:
ERROR: netsnmp : Received noSuchName(2) error-status at error-index 1.

well… according to the development page from Nagios, http://nagios.manubulon.com/
its mentioned that the command check_snmp_mem does not support windows! and instead another command should be used “check_snmp_storage”

I am confused what to use now? and I would appreciate any hint or help to get my checks working on windows machines.
Thanks in advanced.
Jaber

Hi,

maybe the OIDs are not exported by Windows itself. To my knowledge, Microsoft deprecated SNMP in Server 2012. I’ve never tested that myself, the ITL CheckCommands for Manubulon have been contributed by the community.
