Hello everyone, I have a quick question about IcingaDB: Does anyone have any experience with Dual Master systems that have been migrated to IcingaDB or that operate with both IDO and IcingaDB in parallel?
The background for my question is that we installed IcingaDB to run in parallel with IDO on a Dual Master system. The IcingaDB Web module requires Redis configuration, and there is an option to also enter the Secondary Icinga Master:
According to the info text, it is apparently desirable to enter this for a Dual Master system. Since we still need to enable communication between the systems on that port, we haven’t filled this in yet. However, the missing Secondary Master configuration hasn’t caused any problems until now, and both Masters have always been on the same page, e.g., with downtimes, acknowledgements, etc. Does anyone know if this configuration is absolutely necessary or what it exactly changes?
