Icinga2 master across DCs via dark cable/fiber

Hi,

Is it a good idea to have the config master and the secondary master in a separate DC from the day today operations perspective ?

This is what I do.
Both are on campus but still different location and if we would have multiple campuses I would separate further depending on network reliability. If the network isn’t up to my standards, I would put satellites in the data centers not on the main campus.
