I added a custom field to director to set headers for http checks.
Since those sometimes contain auth tokensi set the field to “hidden”. That works for the input filed on the service indirector, but it’s still visible in _override_servicevars and icingaweb2. Is that a rights issue or do i need to do something specific to hide the value there as well?
In the configuration it will always be shown so restrict access to this and the API. To hide values from Icinga Web 2 navigate to Configuration > Modules > monitoring and in the tab security you can add any variable you want to hide.

added it via security tab for icingaweb2
removed the serviceset and added the services individually, then it doesn’t show up in directors _override_servicevars. will file a bug for that though
