Execvpe(/usr/lib//nagios/plugins/check_ping) failed: No such file or directory

Here we setup icingaweb2 based on KB, and when first login the web console, it reports many files missing in folder “/usr/lib//nagios/plugins”. Actually I checked the folder and only find very little files exist there. I’m new for Icinga2 and Icinga Web 2, so I guess somewhere configuration about PATH is wrong, which triggered so many files missing warning in the first time. Can anyone support this and give some suggestions?

  • Icinga Web 2 version – 2.8.4
  • Used modules and their versions (System - About) Default Modules when configure Icinga Web 2
  • Web browser used – Apple Safari
  • Icinga 2 version used (icinga2 --version) – v2.13.0-11-ga47575549
  • PHP version used (php --version) – 7.4.6 based on suse 15 sp3
  • Server operating system and version – suse 15 sp3

because you write in the directory are only some files: Did you install the monitoring-plugins / nagios-plugins as well?

This has nothing to do with icinga(web) but with missing packages. You need to install them as well.
