I can monitor my icinga2 master fine but when I add a client I get a bunch of pending checks. Incredibly frustrating because the logs are saying the api is connected but no other errors. I think this is a configuration problem but have no idea where to start since the debug log seems fine. Are there bugs in 2.10 related to this?
Not that we know of.
Does configuration e.g. global zones get synchronized to the agents? That’s the best sign that the communication is working. You should consider using the cluster-zone check, too.

please add more details according to the FAQ, especially configuration snippets for zones, example host/service objects, and their way of communication from the logs, e.g. when you force a new check, or restart a node. This will help analysing your problem.
