I also only noticed this recently, but I also recently changed my setups to English instead of German.

Be careful with this. Just found this. The variable seems to define some priority just like your browser’s Accept-Language header does. So it may be ok to unset it just for the webserver, but possibly not globally.

There’s also this PR now, which should solve the issue even if LANGUAGE is set.
