Hello,

i have a question regarding the notification system of icinga web 2.
If a host has disabled notifications via the WebUI, is it expected behavior, that all services attached to the host still send notifications?
I was expecting, that the services wont send notifications if the host has them disabled.

Best regards
Michel W.

Hi & welcome to the icinga community,

The notification for host and services are independently, hence, have to be disabled separately. When you want to temporarily disable them e.g. for maintenance you could schedule downtimes instead and it has a switch to suppress host and service notifications in one step.
