Iam using Icinga to monitor a wireless network. I have a wireless AP which is connected with a wireless station. I have set the dependancy with wireless AP being parent of wireless station, so that if AP goes down I do not get notification for station. The dependancy is working. But Iam facing one issue. When AP goes down, as expected the station goes in UNREACHABLE state and I do not get email notification for the station. However when AP comes up, the station will take some time to connect back to AP. Before station can connect back to AP, I get email notification from Icinga that station is down and then when station connects back to AP I again get email notification from Icinga that station is up.
This seems to be a common problem in wireless networks that when AP is down and then comes up, station will take some time to connect back to AP. Does Icinga have any provision to prevent email notification for this case when AP comes up and station is yet to connect to AP.
