Hi,
the PNP module isn’t actively developed anymore, also since PNP itself is not. Icinga’s strategy on metric integrations focusses on Graphite / InfluxDB these days. That being said, thanks for your contribution 
It will take a while for somebody catching up on this old project when there’s really nothing else to do.

Okay, got the message: We shouldn’t be betting any money on an already dead horse. (“when there is nothing else to do” in IT means: never)
To that end, one should probably insert a note concerning that at https://icinga.com/docs/icinga2/latest/doc/13-addons/#pnp
When it is officially deprecated we will do so. My note was just for you now having invested so much time to help, this is really appreciated
