How does the "Run on Agent and Cluster Zone" (in the Director) work?

I have this question because if i have the Agent installed on a Client where a service, with this template included, runs. The check is runned on the Agent.
So i dont understand how this Option works.

I read the in the book “Icinga2” that an Endpoint and Zone will be created. I will close this Point now.
