Creating dependency at monitoring

Hello! I am new to Icinga & I hope you can help me.
I’m monitoring different branch offices which are connected to my central office via VPN.
Everytime when my internet connection isn’t working in my central office the email notifications are going crazy, because Icinga dind’t reach my branch offices.

How can I create an dependency, if my internet in the central office is down, that Icinga don’t check the status from the branch offices… and as soon as my internet is again available check the branch offices again.

Hi & welcome,

You could configure dependencies but I’d recommend to install satellites at your branch offices. Then it would simply doesn’t matter if the internet connection is down.
