# 2 Icinga Masters sync, but no checks on second Master

I haven’t had experience with it directly, but I recall [this post](https://community.icinga.com/t/choose-the-preferred-ido-active-endpoint/5786) containing the steps necessary – TLDR you rename the IDO object on both masters… I assume you change it on the server that you wish to be the primary master first, but I could be wrong (you may need to figure out which master to rename it on first).
